Each pack contains five 1-metre strips (4.75 m of coverage once joined), perfect for edging a medium-sized flower bed or lawn border. Also available are single pieces of the 100mm option in Brown, where just a little more edging is required to finish a project.

CorTen arrives as untreated blue steel (non-rusty) and will naturally develop its signature rust patina over time, typically within 3–6 months. As CorTen steel lawn edging is an unprotected metal, it is important to be aware that salt and some patio cleaners (especially those containing acids and chlorine) will attack the metal and cause it to break down.

Yes, different heights of EverEdge CLASSIC edging (75mm, 100mm and 125mm) can be connected while maintaining a level top edge. The deeper 150mm edging uses a different fixing method that requires drilling and bolting for added strength in more demanding installations.

The right depth depends on your soil type and the level of stability required. EverEdge CLASSIC is available in 75mm (3″), 100mm (4″) and 125mm (5″) depths (excluding spikes). Deeper edging provides greater stability in softer ground, while shallower options can be installed deeper into the soil if needed.
We generally recommend installing garden edging level with your turf for a seamless look and easier mowing. If you prefer a visible edge, you can install it proud. However, note that CorTen and galvanised steel edging can have sharp edges, so this may not be ideal for gardens with small children or pets.
Metal garden edging can be cut using a hacksaw or an angle grinder. For a neat finish, excess material can be overlapped behind the starting point or bent at a 90° angle into the ground, which also improves structural strength.
Metal lawn edging is typically installed flush with the lawn surface or slightly below it. For best results, the top edge should sit around 10–15mm below the grass cutting height, which helps protect the edging and allows lawnmowers to pass over smoothly.
The CLASSIC spikes are 94mm (3.7″) and the ProEdge spikes are 100mm (4″). If you need more anchorage, consider using our Pin and Sleeve accessory.
A Pin & Sleeve system is recommended for poor ground conditions, including loose, sandy or sloped areas. It provides additional anchoring strength and helps keep the edging securely in place over time.
With a galvanised steel core and powder-coated finish, EverEdge CLASSIC is built to last. Expect clean, rust-resistant borders for at least 15 years, even in tough weather.
CorTen steel garden edging is delivered as a dark blue-grey metal. It will naturally begin to rust, developing its signature rich, earthy patina over 3–6 months. The full maturation of the rust can continue over 12 months, depending on weather conditions. This distinctive rustic finish is a popular choice for contemporary and natural-style gardens.
