Product Details

Rolltop garden edging offers a smoother edge and is ideally suited to installation where the edging will be installed proud (above the ground).

Rolltop edging also toughens the steel, which allows installers to create a straighter, firmer edge with a robust, tough-looking top edge detail. EverEdge Rolltop steel garden edging is an option for areas where proud edges may cause problems, such as in gardens with pets or young children.

Typically specified for domestic lawn and border edging, the Classic Rolltop edging is 1.6mm thick with a 4.5mm wide top.

The rolled top edge ensures incredible strength and, whilst it is not as flexible as the standard CLASSIC range, gentle curves can still be formed.

Available in CorTen steel or galvanised and powder-coated steel and supplied in packs of 5 x 1m pieces.

To form right angles, an angle grinder will be required to cut a V into the rolled edge.

Frequently Asked Questions

EverEdge Rolltop Classic can be bent to angles by cutting a V into the rolled top edge and forming the steel around a block of wood.

To deal with surplus lengths of EverEdge Rolltop Classic steel garden edging. Lay the edging to the point the pieces overlap. Mark the edging at this point and cut with an angle grinder. At this point, the two edging pieces can be simply butted together and the back plate attached. If you have the required drill bit, a hole can be drilled into the cut section.

The great thing about the EverEdge Rolltop garden edging is that it can be installed proud, as long as you are not planning to mow over the edge. This means the top of the edging can protrude above the top level of the turf to the desired height. If you are planning to mow over the edge, ensure the edging top is level with the top of the turf, about 15mm below the cut height of the grass. The product comes with a detailed installation guide.

While not as flexible as the standard products, both CLASSIC and Titan Rolltop edging can be used to make curved garden borders. The Hydra Rolltop cannot be curved and is only suitable for straight-edge borders. However, right angles can be achieved with corner pieces.

In some installations, it is desirable to have the edging showing. In these cases, roll top edging is the safest solution. Since the top edge is smooth and not sharp, it can safely be installed proud and is the recommended choice for homes with pets or small children.

EverEdge Rolltop edging has a front and a rear face. It should always be installed with the joints protruding onto the rear, hidden side.
