ProEdge Flexible Steel Garden Edging
ProEdge flexible steel garden edging is specified by landscapers and designers who are looking to create a crisp and clean border on gravel paths, driveways and around large lawns.
EverEdge ProEdge flexible steel edging has been developed for larger projects and for higher traffic areas where a longer, thicker edging may be preferred to the 1.6mm Classic lawn edging option.
The range allows gardeners to create permanent, subtle, clean lines and to cut out hours of back-breaking maintenance work.
Available in a range of heights and finishes, including powder-coated, galvanised steel and CorTen steel. ProEdge flexible garden edging is 2.5mm thick and 2.5m long. This range of options allows specifiers to select a steel edging that will fit in perfectly with their design.
Because of its length, ProEdge flexible steel garden edging is delivered on a 2.6m long pallet. When ordering online, please review the shipping instructions here. The minimum delivery charge is £112.00 so, for smaller orders, we recommend the EverEdge CLASSIC range.
To order ProEdge online, a trade account is needed. For non-trade customers, please call or email for prices and availability.

EverEdge CLASSIC and ProEdge flexible steel garden edging can both easily curve to virtually any radius. To bend, mark a line across the point where it needs to be bent and form the angle using any sharp right-angle edge, whether it be in a vice, workbench, 4”x2” timber or even the angle edge of a table.
CorTen steel garden edging is known for its natural, rust-coloured appearance, and is also sometimes referred to as weathering steel. Galvanised steel, on the other hand, has a matte grey appearance that is more typically associated with raw metal. Galvanised steel is specially treated to be weather-resistant, while CorTen is designed to naturally rust over time for a more earthy, organic appearance.
EverEdge flexible garden edging comes in 3 depths – 75mm (3″), 100mm (4″) and 125mm (5″). This excludes the spikes, which are 94mm (3.7″) on CLASSIC and 100mm (3.9″) on ProEdge. We recommend that you bury the EverEdge to the very top of the spike (15mm into the edge face). If you have an edge which is not equal to the sizes we supply, say 50mm, simply knock the 75mm EverEdge deeper until you have the correct depth.
As a general rule, we recommend installing EverEdge so that the top of the flexible steel garden edging is level with the turf (not proud). However, in some installations, it is desirable to have the edging showing. Galvanised (unpainted) and CorTen steel garden edging can be quite sharp, so if the edging will be installed proud, these finishes are not recommended for homes with dogs or small children.
Cutting ProEdge galvanised or CorTen steel garden edging is no problem, either with a grinder or a hacksaw. However, the easiest way to lose any extra material is to overlap it behind where you started, if possible. Where you are not returning to the start point, put a 90° bend and lose the extra along a wall, bank, flower bed, etc. This will also add extra strength at the end of the edging run.
The top of the flexible steel garden edging should never be proud of the grass if you are planning to mow over the edge. Ensure that the lawn edging top is level with the top of the turf, about 15mm below the cut height of the grass. This is indicated in the installation guide when you buy EverEdge.
ProEdge is highly flexible steel garden edging that can be used to create large circular beds and borders if desired. Simply measure out the circumference of the circle and order enough strips to suit. Strips can be overlapped or cut to size with a grinder or a hacksaw. Alternatively, EverEdge Garden Rings can be purchased in a range of set diameters to create easy circular edging.
ProEdge steel garden border edging has a galvanised coating and a thick layer of plastic powder paint coating. This is strong yet flexible steel garden edging that will not deteriorate or rust for at least 15 years.
Yes. While incredibly robust, our flexible steel garden edging is still able to bend to the needs of your garden project. Depending on the thickness of the edging, it may be necessary to score the edging first to ensure a clean and sharp bend.
CorTen steel garden edging and Planters will not arrive on site with the rusty patina; instead, they will be a dull blue steel. Depending on conditions, the CorTen will take between 3-6 months to go fully rusty, but can continue to change over a 12-month period.

Only when you have very poor ground conditions, especially very loose earth or sandy ground. It can also help to give extra support to your EverEdge where the flexible steel garden edging is supporting a slope or bank. This item is not necessary in most projects.
The ProEdge spikes are 100mm (4″) and the CLASSIC spikes are 94mm (3.7″). If you need more anchorage, consider using our Pin and Sleeve accessory.
In very soft ground, or in clay, simply treading on the edge or the weight of a mower will push the edge into the soil. To prevent this, place a piece of broken flat tile or brick under each joint or anywhere along the edging. Using the Pin & Sleeve system may also help to anchor and support the edging.
Designed to slot together with ease, our lawn edging sets the standard for the rest of the range.
