EverEdge steel garden tree rings are among the best tree protection rings for UK gardens. Pre-formed in a range of sizes, they support young trees as they establish, while also protecting shrubs and ornamental beds. Each ring is made in Britain from durable steel and delivered in multiple parts for easy fitting around existing planting zones.
Choose from a range of finishes to suit different garden styles, including Brown, Slate, and CorTen steel tree rings. CorTen steel is supplied in an untreated blue-grey finish and naturally develops a protective rust patina over time, forming a durable, weather-resistant garden edging solution that blends into outdoor landscapes.
Steel garden rings are used to define and protect planting areas by creating a clean, structured edge around trees and beds. They help prevent grass encroachment, improve garden organisation, and provide a neat separation between lawn and planting spaces in both domestic and commercial landscapes.
These tree rings are designed for straightforward installation and can be fitted by both professional landscapers and home gardeners. Once installed, they provide a long-lasting, low-maintenance solution for root protection and border definition.

CorTen steel is a weathering steel supplied in an untreated blue-grey finish. Over time, it naturally develops a stable rust patina that protects the surface and creates a durable, weather-resistant finish suitable for outdoor garden use.
In soft or clay soil, the edging may gradually sink without support. To prevent this, place a flat stone, tile or brick beneath each joint. On unstable ground, a Pin and Sleeve system can also be used for additional anchoring.
Tree rings should be installed level with the surrounding turf or slightly below it. The top edge should sit approximately 10–15mm below grass cutting height to allow safe mowing and maintain a clean lawn edge.
Galvanised steel tree rings with a powder-coated finish are designed for long-term durability and typically last 15 years or more in UK outdoor conditions with minimal maintenance.
CorTen steel is supplied in a blue-grey finish and gradually develops a rich orange-brown rust patina. This weathering process typically takes 3–6 months, with full colour development occurring within 6–12 months depending on exposure.
Yes, tree rings are versatile and can also be used to create circular flower beds, herb gardens, or to frame landscape features such as sculptures or water elements.
A steel tree ring provides root protection by shielding the base of a tree from lawnmowers and foot traffic. It also helps retain soil structure and moisture around the root zone while creating a neat, defined border in the garden.
Yes, tree rings can be installed above ground for a more visible border. However, flush installation is generally recommended for safety and easier lawn maintenance, particularly in gardens used by children or pets.
Steel tree rings are available in standard finishes including galvanised steel, Brown, Slate, and CorTen steel. Additional customisation may be possible using suitable outdoor metal paints.
Installation typically requires only basic tools such as a garden spade and rubber mallet. For softer soils, simple supports like bricks or tiles may also be used beneath joints.
Orders can be amended or cancelled before they are picked and packed. Once processing has begun, the original order may need to be refunded and replaced. Customer support can assist with changes where possible.
Smaller courier orders typically arrive within 1–5 working days. Larger pallet deliveries usually take 2–5 working days depending on location and order size.

Fiercely British and proudly family-owned since 1995, our company was the first metal lawn edging company established in the UK. We played a key role in forging the shape of the landscape edging industry as it is today, just as landscapers forge new spaces with our high-quality steel products.
What started as simple garden edging has now evolved into all things outdoor, but we still maintain the same dedication to quality in every one of our products. Always thinking of ways to make outdoor spaces cleaner, greener and less maintenance, our products are used widely by homeowners, professional gardeners and landscape architects.
Ours is a story of growth, strength and resilience. Everything a garden needs.
