EverEdge are getting about this year! We had a number of gardens showcasing our product at the new RHS flower show taking place in Rotherham at the prestigious Wentworth Woodhouse. From a modern garden design featuring a dirt bike pump track through to a historic pottery design there was something for everyone and the show in its first year was a huge success. Think, usual RHS tradeshow stands and catering set afront the most beautiful building with show gardens and long borders dotted throughout. We visited on members day with sunshine and high temperatures but in true British fashion the tail end of the week was torrential rain.
EverEdge worked with some fantastic designers, Rachel Platt – twice silver-gilt winner at RHS shows, who designed the RHS Dirt Park Garden was passionate about bringing gardening and younger generations together, which we whole heartedly believe is a great idea. Rachel not only bought her vision to life but the whole team and garden had a great vibe. This garden engaged the younger ages, the bike track to ride on, the music to entertain, the vibrant playful colours all bringing interest to how a garden can be fun and versatile to different interests and ages. Rachel used our EverEdge Classic to define the borders placed around the pump track and the gravel entry area keeping gravel seperate to plants and track.
We also supported Pandora Ryan – RHS award winning designer, with her Macmillan Legacy of a Lifetime Garden which was stunning, such a relaxing space raising awareness for an incredible cause. The edging was specified to create clean edges between the lush green and white shingle area – chosen as Macmillan charity colours. The edging quietly did its job dividing green from white and keeping the shingle tidy. Pandoras vision was beautiful and executed precisely, a truly calming garden.
Another young designer to watch is award winning Sam Dryell, Sam designed a show garden entwining the planting aspect with an array of different materials to honour the potting history of Yorkshire. Beautiful urns were displayed around the garden linking back to the history in the area and inspired by the exquisite craftsmanship of Rockingham Pottery. Sam used a variety of materials to form the floor and walls, blocks of different material and size, creating this gorgeous weathered look, another nod to the history of the area. Our EverEdge Titan was used to create the planting borders and along the pathways, 3mm steel gave a thicker line, blending in beautifully with the other materials used and keeping the pathway material from bleeding into the borders.
Three amazing gardens we are very proud to have been a apart of and know we’ll be hearing these designers names many times throughout the future.
