EverEdge ProEdge steel garden edging was used to create borders and pathways as well as an edge between the lawn and the driveway at this property in Chailey, Sussex. The project called for durable, landscape edging to add property value and reduce garden maintenance.
The Project
The 100mm deep ProEdge steel garden edging, with straight edges and perfect right angles, frames the house and will keep neat lines for years to come. Lengthy pathways were installed from the driveway to the patio and then from the patio to the established gardens, keeping gravel and grass separate with ease. This creates a neat, polished finish on the lawn landscaping while preventing any unwanted gravel transfer.
ProEdge steel garden edging was chosen due to its thickness (2.5mm) and length (2.5m) as this was a large installation on varying ground. The product offers the perfect balance between strong and flexible garden edging that can be curved to fit the needs of each unique landscape design.
J Sutton Landscapes carried out the installation. They were “very impressed with the product and plan to use it in several upcoming projects.”
At EverEdge, we are always pleased to hear how our steel garden edging has supported many outdoor projects and love seeing photos of the finished result. In this case, ProEdge provided the client with the desired look, finish and resilience.
Why ProEdge Steel Garden Edging?
ProEdge is a durable steel edging for lawns, gardens, and commercial outdoor spaces. It is particularly suitable for large-scale residential and commercial projects where thick yet flexible garden edging is required. It offers a robust 2.5mm of galvanised or CorTen steel.
ProEdge is also available in longer lengths than our Classic steel edging for gardens, making it quicker and easier to install over large areas. Each piece is 2.5m long, ensuring a crisp clean finish on every edge from luxury home gardens to vast parklands.
Durability & Aesthetic Appeal
At 2.5mm, ProEdge is one of our most robust lawn edging solutions. Despite this, it can still be curved to suit the unique needs of a project, whilst creating an aesthetically pleasing landscape design.
ProEdge steel garden edging is available in assorted heights from 75mm to 125mm, helping to create crisp, clean lines on everything from gravel and paved pathways to flowerbeds. The resilient steel can be powder-coated in a range of earthy tones, or supplied as CorTen, which develops a natural rusty patina over time.
Installation Process
ProEgde is not just for ‘pros’. While it offers the higher standards of strength and durability required by professional landscapers, this steel garden edging can be installed by anyone, without the need for heavy-duty tools or equipment. Each piece of edging connects to the next and can be cut to size or overlapped as needed.
ProEdge features 100mm spikes to help anchor it into the ground. In very soft ground, we recommend using the Pin and Sleeve system for additional support.
