In this countryside garden redesign, Cor-Ten ProEdge steel lawn edging was selected to create definition and structure between gravel paths, a lawn and richly planted flower borders.
Led by Laura from Paper and Petals, the project required an edging solution that offered both aesthetic value and long-term performance. The aim was to introduce flowing, curved lines that would retain their shape, reduce maintenance, and enhance the visual quality of the garden.
“Finding the EverEdge solution for creating clean border edges has transformed our garden redesign,” said Laura. “The slimline, beautiful rusted finish adds a real design feature, highlights our curved shapes, but most importantly keeps maintaining the lawn edge a breeze and keeps soil and gravel separate. It can be manipulated to work in awkward corners such as the alcoves under our bay windows and it slots together very quickly. It looks fantastic in modern and traditional settings such as ours.”
This installation showcases how EverEdge’s Cor-Ten steel lawn edging can be used in curved and irregular layouts with ease. The weathered finish was chosen to soften the divide between hardscape and landscaping while also adding sculptural interest to the garden.
Cor-Ten was also selected for its low-maintenance properties. Over time, the steel forms a stable, rusted patina that protects against corrosion and blends well with natural surroundings.
In one section of the garden, the Mini Titan range was used to create a raised flower edging bed. With more depth than the standard ProEdge profile, Mini Titan made it possible to introduce subtle height differences within the planning areas, adding definition while supporting soil structure.
These edging systems are simple to install and highly effective. In this example, the modular, interlocking format allowed clean finishes even in tight corners beneath bay windows, spaces that are often challenging to edge with precision. This meant that smooth curves and sharp angles were achieved without the need for specialist tools.
The result is a garden full of colour, movement and texture. The red-orange patina of Cor-Ten steel adds quiet character, blending well with traditional features and bringing warmth to the garden palette. Against the lawn and planting, the edging acts as a frame that is both functional and decorative.
This project shows how considered garden planning can lead to a space that is not only beautiful but also easy to maintain. Where clean lines, longevity and design impact are important, steel lawn edging offers a smart and versatile solution.
